King Saul and Goliath: A Test of Strength and Faith
Summary
The story of how King Saul (Talut) led his army against Goliath (Jalut) and how Prophet Dawud (David) defeated the giant.
Moral
True victory comes from faith in Allah, not just physical strength.
When the Israelites needed a leader, Allah appointed Talut (King Saul) to lead them, even though some people doubted him. Under his command, the army set out to face their powerful enemy, Jalut (Goliath) and his army.
On the way, Talut’s army was tested by a river. He told them to drink only a little, but most of them disobeyed. Only a small group who remained patient continued with him. When they saw Jalut’s large army, some became afraid, but those who had true faith trusted Allah and pressed on.
Among them was a young man named Dawud (David). With Allah’s help, he defeated Jalut using only a slingshot and a stone, showing that faith and courage are more powerful than physical strength. Later, Dawud became a great king and prophet.
This story teaches us that Allah helps those who trust in Him, and real strength comes from faith, not just size or power.
