Believe in all that Allah has revealed

This verse addresses the behavior of some people during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who believed only in the revelation sent to them and rejected the messages that came after, specifically the Quran. The Quran confirms the truth of previous scriptures, including the Torah and the Gospel, and completes the message of Allah to humanity. As Muslims, it is important to have faith in all the revelations given by Allah, acknowledging them as parts of a greater divine plan. In Tafsir Ibn Kathir, it is explained that the people mentioned in this verse, particularly the Israelites, were criticized for their selective belief. They accepted the Torah but rejected the Quran, which came as a continuation and confirmation of the previous messages. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was sent as the final messenger, and the Quran as the final revelation, which is meant for all of humanity, not just a specific group. Allah sent multiple prophets, including Prophet Musa (Moses), Prophet Isa (Jesus), and finally Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), each with guidance for their time. The lesson from this verse is the importance of accepting all of Allah’s revelations, as they are interconnected and collectively form the foundation of Islamic faith. It reminds Muslims to be open-minded and respectful towards all prophets and their teachings, recognizing that every revelation from Allah carries wisdom and truth, designed to guide humanity towards righteousness and unity.
