Those to whom We have given the Scripture recite it with its true recital. They are the ones who believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it—those are the losers.
Description
This verse teaches us to read and understand the Quran with sincerity and faith, as true believers do.
Detailed Explanation
It's important to recite and understand the Quran with sincerity and intention. This verse highlights the significance of not just reading the Quran, but reciting it in a manner that reflects belief and comprehension. Such individuals are considered true believers because they approach the scripture with honesty and devotion, understanding its teachings and incorporating them into their daily lives.
Tafseer Ibn Kathir emphasizes that those who are given the scriptures, including the previous holy books before the Quran, are encouraged to recite their scriptures correctly and with understanding. This comprehensive recital signifies a deeper connection and commitment to God's words. It means not only reading the text but also reflecting upon its meanings and striving to implement them.
When you recite the Quran properly, it helps strengthen your faith. According to authentic Hadith, as narrated by Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Quran will be with the honorable and obedient scribes (angels); and he who recites the Quran and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have two rewards" (Sahih al-Bukhari). This shows that the effort and intention you put into reciting the Quran are seen and rewarded by Allah. It's about striving to achieve a sincere connection with the Quran, allowing its teachings to illuminate your life and guide you on the right path.
