Zakariya

Biography
Zakariya (Zachariah) was a prophet and a righteous man who served as a guardian to Maryam (Mary). He was a wise and faithful servant of Allah who dedicated his life to prayer and helping others. Zakariya and his wife were very old and had no children, but Zakariya prayed earnestly to Allah for a child. Allah answered his prayers and gave him a son, Yahya (John the Baptist), as a miracle.
Zakariya’s story shows his deep faith and trust in Allah, as well as Allah’s power to grant miracles even in difficult circumstances. Allah also granted Zakariya the ability to speak without anyone hearing him for a while as a sign of His power.
Zakariya is remembered for his devotion, humility, and strong faith in Allah.
